And, yes, she was narcissistic, but she nevertheless got the <strong>nation<\/strong> talking about a subject that, until then, had been <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>taboo<\/strong><\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For <strong>years<\/strong>, it has pissed me off that <strong>women<\/strong> can get Botox, boob jobs or wear makeup, yet there is a <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>taboo<\/strong><\/span><\/strong> that <strong>men<\/strong> can\u2019t do these things,&#8221; he says.<\/p>\n<p>Once considered a <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>taboo<\/strong><\/span><\/strong> subject, it is now widely accepted that it is important to talk about our <strong>mental health<\/strong>. IVF and infertility remain <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>taboo<\/strong><\/span><\/strong> at work.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, 50% of UK adults said they were reluctant to talk about personal money matters is <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>taboo<\/strong><\/span><\/strong> 43% said it made them feel embarrassed while 25% admitted to lying to family and friends about their personal finances.<\/p>\n<p>This means providing free menstrual products and menstrual education to the Sikh Community, including open discussions around menstruation to eliminate shame, stigma and <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>taboo<\/strong><\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, these stories are inspiring, and show that despite initial reluctance and maybe even embarrassment to talk about menstruation, <strong>people<\/strong> very much support the cause and are aware that the <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>taboo<\/strong><\/span><\/strong> attitude towards <strong>period<\/strong> is mainly cultural rather than religious. Later that day, we gathered the two shopping bags full of donated menstrual pads and made our way to the <strong>women<\/strong>\u2019s bathroom to fill a red Binti-branded bin with the pads.<\/p>\n<p>This may be due to <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">taboos<\/span><\/strong> surrounding bowels and poo and embarrassment \u2013 particularly among <strong>men<\/strong> \u2013 and about discussing symptoms with doctors.<\/p>\n<p>The goal of the series was not just to enlighten those who have never had to confront colorism, but also to encourage conversation about a still largely <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>taboo<\/strong><\/span><\/strong> subject.
