\u2013 an attitude that significantly adds to the problem.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about the importance of sensitising <strong>children<\/strong> about <strong>sexual violence<\/strong> amid the growing number of incidents in <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pakistan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pakistan<\/a> over the past five <strong>years<\/strong>, <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Karachi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Karachi<\/a>-based psychologist and counsellor Sana Akbar said that most parents are hesitant to talk about anything related to <strong>sexuality<\/strong> because the <strong>topic<\/strong> is considered culturally <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>taboo<\/strong><\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It may be concluded that law can effectively be an instrument of deterrence only if <strong>people<\/strong> come forward to avail of the Shah<\/p>\n<p>Comparing the disaster of not heeding the natural play of sexual instinct and equating that with a <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>taboo<\/strong><\/span><\/strong> to a flood, Dr Shah explained that when flood starts to surface, it is possible to mitigate its impact if adequate steps are taken in time; likewise, matters could be controlled and regulated in the stage
